Playlist for Goal by Viri

by Viri

The first song in my playlist is “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons. This song matches the scene in Goal by Robert Rigby when Hughie Magowan slide tackled Santiago , then Santiago gets mad and is about to punch Hughie , but then one of his teammates say to forget because it’s not worth it. Two fit together because the tone expresses with the scene.

The second song in my playlist is “Golden Slumbers” by The Beatles. This song matches the scene when Santiago misses his home back in L.A. The two fit together because the lyrics in the beginning express how much Santiago is homesick and the intro is an emotional part.

The third song in my playlist is “Human Love” by Dirty Vegas. This song matches the scene when Santiago kisses the nurse Roz, after their done talking. The two fit together because it captures that symbol of human love between Santiago and Roz.

The fourth song in my playlist is “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons. This song matches the scene when Santiago gets a huge surprise that he is going to go to first team in the soccer league and will be flying the team. The two fit together because the song expresses how it’s time to begin something new just like the scene.

The fifth song in my playlist is “How To Save A Life” by The Fray. This song matches the scene when Santiago hears the news that his father is dead from her grandmother that trade to Santi on the phone. The two fit together because of the mood since Santiago feels really sad about how things didn't work out with his dad and now he is dead. The song shares the same feeling on how they lost someone.

The sixth song in the playlist is “Proud” by Heather Small. This song matches when Santiago’s dad is proud of his son that is on TV. The two fit together because it symbolizes that the father is now proud of his son that is playing soccer on TV.

The seventh song in my playlist is “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars. This song matches when Santiago goes an see’s Roz about the photo they took of him in a club that is now in the newspaper, which Roz is mad now at Santi for that. The two fit together because Roz just wants Santiago to be himself not like someone else and the song express that as well.

The eighth song in my playlist is “Hall Of Fame” by The Script feat. Will.i.am. This song matches when Santiago has the ball and makes it in the net. The two fit together because the mood is an exciting music which goes well with the scene.
