The first song in my playlist is “Rough Water” by Travie McCoy. This song matches the scene in Goal by Robert Rigby when he is working with his father and is lying by the pool enjoying the sun. These two fit together because they are both talking about water and pools. The tone in this scene was relaxed because he is just enjoying the heat on his hot body in California.
The second song in my playlist is “Battle Scars” by Lupe Fiasco. This song matches the scene where he is arguing with his father when he stole his money out of his shoe to buy a truck. These two fit together because they are both talking about how they’re both hurt. Santiago’s dads tone is such a brutal behavior because he is constantly making all his dreams be crushed.
The third song in my playlist is “I’m Raw” by fabulous. This song matches the scene where he has just begun tryouts and he is getting laid out by another guy on the opposite team as him during tryouts. These two fit together because that song is basically describing him being new to things and is starting to get the hang of it. The tone of this scene was a feeling of disappointment because he knew he can do better than what he is.
The fourth song in my playlists is “Tipsy” by Mike Stud. This song matches the scene where he is at the club with his roommate and their having a good time getting to know each other. The fifth song in my playlist is “Wave your flag” by Knaan. This song matches the scene where he is going to play his last game with his team. These two fit together because it’s a song that pumps you up for some soccer. The tone in this scene was anxious because Santiago wants to impress the coaches that he’s good enough to be where he is today.
The sixth song in my playlist is “I made it” by Kevin Rudolf. The song matches the scene where he is finally in England. These two fit together because he made it their safely. The tone in this scene was thankful because without his grandmother he wouldn’t be in the spot he is today.
The seventh song in my playlist is “Chum” by Earl Sweatshirt. The song matches the scene where his father dies because of a heart attack. These two fit together because in the song it explains how they lost their father. The tone in this scene was devastating because his father died in front of his younger brother.
The eighth song in my playlist is “So beautiful” by Musiq Soulchild. The song matches the scene where he meets the nurse names Roz. These two fit together because since the beginning he really liked her. The tone in this scene was overjoyed because they started dating after a few dates.
